Alpharetta, GA (May 30, 2021) – At 5:25 a.m. on Sunday morning, May 30, a car accident occurred on a major highway in Alpharetta.

According to Forsyth County officials, the accident happened in the northbound lanes of US-19 around the area of McFarland Road. Several vehicles collided in the area due to reasons that are not yet known, which led to extensive damages.

Paramedics and numerous other local responders were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those with injuries. One or more victims, who have not yet been identified, were taken to local hospitals for treatment of their injuries.

A red alert was issued in the area until police were able to clear the scene.

The investigation into the circumstances of the collision continues.
