Savannah, GA (May 30, 2021) – On Sunday, May 30, a car accident with injuries took place on a bridge in Savannah.

According to police, the accident happened on the Bull River Bridge on Highway 80. Two vehicles collided with each other in the area. One of the vehicles, identified as a red SUV, landed on top of a white sedan. This led to extensive damages to the involved vehicles.

Paramedics and numerous other local responders were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were hospitalized with a variety of injuries, though their conditions are not yet known.

The roadway was blocked in several lanes for a period of time, which led to heavy delays until police cleared the scene.

The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues.
