Dublin, GA – One Killed, One Injured in Car Wreck on Sportsman Club Rd
Dublin, GA (May 31, 2021) – A teenager was killed and a man sustained serious injuries after a wreck occurred in Laurens County on Sunday evening, May 30.
According to trooper reports released by the Georgia State Patrol, the wreck happened just before 7:30 p.m. on Sportsman Club Road.
Officers say that a 55-year-old man was driving a Polaris Slingshot with a 17-year-old riding in the passenger seat. The teen was then ejected from the vehicle after a collision that occurred for unknown reasons.
Laurens County Deputy Coroner Alfred Pearson pronounced the 17-year-old victim deceased at the scene. The driver was transported to a Macon hospital via ambulance and is listed in critical condition at this time.
The accident is under investigation, and Georgia State Patrol’s Specialized Collision Reconstruction Team is helping investigate.
