Smyrna, GA – Multi-Vehicle Collision with Injuries on I-285 Near S Cobb Dr
Smyrna, GA (August 15, 2021) – At 6:37 p.m. on the evening of Saturday, August 14, a serious multi-vehicle collision with injuries occurred in Smyrna.
According to Fulton County officials, the accident happened in the southbound lanes of I-285 around the area of South Cobb Drive. Several vehicles were traveling in the area when they collided with each other due to reasons that are not fully known. The vehicles involved in the accident were badly damaged as a result.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims, who have not yet been identified, were taken to local hospitals for treatment of their injuries.
Two right lanes of traffic were blocked in the area for an extended period of time until police cleared the scene.
No further details have been released but the investigation remains ongoing.
