Dalton, GA – Injuries Reported in Tractor-Trailer Accident on I-75
Dalton, GA (August 18, 2021) – At 7 a.m. on the morning of Wednesday, August 18, a tractor-trailer accident occurred on a highway in Dalton.
According to Atlanta Police, the accident happened in the northbound lanes of I-75 around the area of mile marker 330. A tractor-trailer was traveling in the area when it suddenly collided with one or more passenger vehicles. The vehicles involved in the accident were badly damaged as a result.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene of the accident to help those in need. One or more victims, who have not yet been identified, were taken to local hospitals for treatment. Their conditions are not yet known.
All lanes of traffic were blocked for a short period of time until the scene was cleared. Police urged those in the area to use Highway 41 as an alternate route.
The investigation into the circumstances of the collision continues.
