Between, GA – Truck Accident with Injuries at GA-78 & Youth Monroe Rd
Between, GA (August 19, 2021) – On Thursday, August 19, a truck accident with injuries occurred at an intersection in Between, Georgia.
According to the Walton County Sheriff’s Office, the accident happened at the intersection of A-78 and Youth Monroe Road. A tractor-trailer was traveling in the area when it entered the intersection, slamming into a pickup truck. The pickup truck sustained severe front-end damages and the tractor-trailer went off the side of the road. The vehicles involved in the accident had to be towed from the scene.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were taken to local hospitals, though their conditions are not yet known.
Due to the severity of the crash, the intersection was blocked for approximately 20-30 minutes until police cleared the scene.
No further details have been released but the investigation remains ongoing.
