Gainesville, GA – Car Crash at Candler Rd & Lee Land Rd Intersection
Gainesville, GA (September 17, 2021) – At 1:16 p.m. on the afternoon of Thursday, September 16, a car crash with injuries occurred in Gainesville.
According to Atlanta Police, the accident happened at the intersection of Candler Road and Lee Land Road. Two or more vehicles were traveling in the area when they collided with each other. The vehicles involved in the accident were extensively damaged and had to be removed from the scene by tow trucks.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene. One or more victims were taken to local hospitals for treatment of their injuries. Their conditions are not known at this time.
The roadway was blocked in all lanes until police were able to fully clear the scene. This led to delays for a period of time.
The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues.
