Atlanta, GA – Tractor-Trailer Collision with Injuries in SB Lanes of I-75
Atlanta, GA (September 18, 2021) – At 12:16 p.m. on the afternoon of Friday, September 17, a tractor-trailer collision occurred on a highway in Atlanta.
According to Atlanta Police, the accident happened in the southbound lanes of I-75 around the area of Windy Hill Road. A tractor-trailer was driving in the area when the driver collided with a passenger vehicle due to reasons that are not yet known. The vehicles involved in the accident were badly damaged as a result.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims, who have not yet been identified, were taken to local hospitals for treatment. Their conditions are not known at this time.
The roadway was blocked in the left lane of traffic until police were able to clear the scene.
No further details have been released. The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues.
