Atlanta, GA – Multi-Car Wreck on I-75 at University Ave Ends in Injuries
Atlanta, GA (September 19, 2021) – At 3:00 p.m. on the afternoon of Sunday, September 19, a multi-vehicle collision occurred on a roadway in Atlanta.
According to police, the accident happened in the northbound lanes of I-75 around the area of University Avenue. Several vehicles were traveling in the area when they collided due to reasons that are not yet known. The vehicles involved in the collision were extensively damaged as a result.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders arrived to treat those at the scene. EMS took one or more victims to local hospitals for treatment. Authorities did not release their identities or details on their conditions, however.
The wreck blocked multiple lanes of traffic in the area for some time. Police urged those in the area to use Metropolitan Parkway as an alternate route.
The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues at this time.
