Atlanta, GA – Car Crash with Injuries on I-85 Near Cleveland Ave
Atlanta, GA (September 25, 2021) – At 9:27 p.m. on the evening of Friday, September 24, a car crash with injuries occurred on a highway in Atlanta.
According to Fulton County officials, the accident happened in the northbound lanes of I-85 around the area of exit 76, Cleveland Avenue. Police confirmed that several vehicles were traveling on the highway in the area when one or more lost control. This caused the vehicles to forcefully collide with each other. The vehicles involved in the accident were badly damaged as a result.
Paramedics and numerous other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims, who have not yet been identified, were taken to local hospitals for treatment. Their conditions are not known at this time.
The roadway was blocked in the area for an extended period of time. This led to delays until the scene was cleared.
The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues.
