Augusta, GA – Tractor-Trailer Crash at Mike Padgett Hwy & Brown Rd
Augusta, GA (September 25, 2021) – At 2 p.m. on Friday afternoon, September 24, a tractor-trailer crash occurred at an intersection in Augusta.
According to the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office, the accident happened at the intersection of Mike Padgett Highway and Brown Road. A white car was traveling in the area when it was suddenly struck by a tractor-trailer traveling in the area. The passenger vehicle was left with extensive damages as a result.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were injured in the accident. The injured victims were taken to local hospitals for treatment of their injuries.
The roadway was blocked in the area for an extended period of time as police worked to clear the scene.
