Norcross, GA – Rollover Accident with Injuries in NB Lanes of I-85
Norcross, GA (September 27, 2021) – At 6:27 p.m. on the evening of Sunday, September 26, a rollover accident occurred on a highway in Norcross.
According to Gwinnett County Police, the accident happened in the northbound lanes of I-85 around the area of exit 99, Jimmy Carter Boulevard. Several vehicles were traveling in the area when they suddenly collided due to reasons that are not yet known. One of the vehicles immediately rolled over, which led to extensive damages.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were taken to local hospitals for treatment of their injuries. Their conditions are not known at this time.
Two center lanes of traffic were blocked for some time. This led to delays until police were able to clear the scene.
The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues.
