Atlanta, GA – Tractor-Trailer Accident in WB Lanes of I-20
Atlanta, GA (September 29, 2021) – At 10:20 a.m. on the morning of Wednesday morning, September 29, a tractor-trailer accident occurred in Atlanta.
According to Atlanta Police, the accident happened in the westbound lanes of I-20 around the area of exit 61, Glenwood Avenue. A truck was traveling in the area when it collided with a passenger vehicle in the area. The vehicles involved in the accident were badly damaged and had to be removed from the scene.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were taken to local hospitals for treatment of their injuries. Their conditions are not known at this time.
Two right lanes of traffic were blocked in the area for an extended period of time. Police urged those in the area to use Memorial Drive as an alternate route.
The investigation into the circumstances of the collision continues.
