Morrow, GA – Multi-Vehicle Collision in WB Lanes of I-285 Leads to Injuries
Morrow, GA (October 1, 2021) – At 9:39 a.m. on the morning of Friday, October 1, a multi-vehicle collision occurred on a highway in Morrow.
According to police, the accident happened in the westbound lanes of I-285 around the area of exit 53, Jonesboro Road. Two or more vehicles were traveling in the area when they collided with each other due to reasons that are not yet known. The vehicles involved in the accident were badly damaged as a result.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims, who have not yet been identified, were injured in the crash. Their conditions are not yet known.
The roadway was blocked in the right lane for a period of time as police worked to clear the scene. This led to delays in the area.
No further details have been released. The investigation into the circumstances of the collision continues.
