Calhoun, GA – Serious Car Crash at Rome Rd & Switch Connector Rd
Calhoun, GA (October 8, 2021) – On Friday evening, October 8, a car crash with injuries occurred at an intersection in Calhoun.
According to Gordon County officials, the accident happened at the intersection of Rome Road and Switch Connector Road. Two or more vehicles were traveling in the area when they entered the intersection at the same time, colliding with each other. The vehicles involved in the crash were badly damaged as a result.
Paramedics and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were seriously injured in the collision. The injured victims, who have not yet been identified, were taken to local hospitals for treatment.
The roadway was blocked in the area of the intersection for an extended period of time as police cleared the scene. This led to delays until police cleared the scene.
The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues.
