Riceboro, GA – Multi-Vehicle Crash on I-95 at Retreat Rd Ends in Injuries
Riceboro, GA (October 7, 2021) – On Thursday afternoon, October 7, a multi-vehicle collision involving a truck occurred on a highway in the Riceboro area.
According to Riceboro officials, the accident happened in the southbound lanes of I-95 around Retreat Road. Several vehicles were traveling in the area when one or more lost control, causing them to collide with each other. The vehicles in the accident were badly damaged as a result, and a tractor-trailer was also reportedly involved.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders responded to help those with injuries. One or more victims, who officers have not identified, suffered injuries in the accident. EMS immediately transported those victims. However, medical personnel did not give updates on their conditions.
Police urged those in the area to use alternate routes, as they closed the roadway to clear the scene.
The investigation into the circumstances of the crash continues.
