Athens, GA – Car Crash with Injuries at Cedar St & Sanford Dr
Athens, GA (October 12, 2021) – At 5 p.m. on Monday, October 11, a car crash with injuries occurred at an intersection in Athens.
According to the University of Georgia Police Department, the accident happened at the intersection of Cedar Street and Sanford Drive. Two or more vehicles were traveling in the area when they allegedly entered the intersection at the same time. The vehicles involved in the accident were badly damaged as a result.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims, who have not yet been identified, were injured in the collision. The injured parties were taken to local hospitals for treatment of their injuries.
The roadway was blocked in the area of the intersection for an extended period of time.
