Marietta, GA – Car Accident with Injuries in SB Lanes of I-75
Marietta, GA (October 30, 2021) – At 6:44 p.m. on the evening of Saturday, October 30, a car accident with injuries occurred in Marietta.
According to Cobb County Police, the accident happened in the southbound lanes of I-75 around the area of exit 261, Delk Road. Several vehicles were traveling in the area when one or more lost control, causing the vehicles to forcefully collide with each other. The vehicles involved in the accident were badly damaged as a result.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those with injuries. One or more victims were injured in the accident. The injured victims were hospitalized, though their identities and conditions are not yet known.
Due to the severity of the accident, four left lanes of traffic were blocked for some time. Police urged those in the area to use Cobb Parkway as an alternate route.
The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues.
