Columbus, GA (February 7, 2023) – A man was killed in a fatal motorcycle accident that took place in Columbus on the morning of Monday, February 6.

According to the Columbus Police Department, the accident happened around 1:20 a.m. on Milgen Road around the area of Miller Road. Police confirmed that a motorcyclist was traveling in the area when they were involved in a collision with at least one other vehicle due to reasons that are still under investigation. The motorcycle was badly damaged due to the accident.

Paramedics, fire crews, and several other local responders were called to the scene to help those in need. The motorcyclist, who has since been identified as an adult male, was tragically pronounced dead at the scene due to traumatic injuries. Nobody else was hurt in the accident.

The roadway was blocked in the area of the intersection for an extended period of time. Police worked to clear the scene as quickly as possible.

No further details have been released. The investigation into the circumstances of the collision continues.
