Augusta, GA (March 23, 2023) – On Tuesday night, March 21, a pedestrian accident with injuries took place on a major roadway in Augusta.

According to Augusta Police, the accident happened on Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard near its intersection with Kent Street. Police confirmed that a pedestrian was attempting to cross the street in the area when they were struck by a passenger vehicle. It is believed that the driver of the vehicle remained on the scene.

Paramedics, fire crews, and several other responders were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. The pedestrian, who has not yet been formally identified, was seriously injured in the accident.
