Cartersville, GA – Injuries Reported in Two-Car Crash on I-75 at Hwy 41 & Main St
Cartersville, GA (June 18, 2021) – On Friday afternoon, June 18, a car accident with injuries was reported in the Cartersville area.
According to police and scanner traffic, the accident happened on Interstate 75, resulting in backed-up traffic on Highway 41 and Main Street through the heart of Cartersville. Two vehicles collided with each other in the northbound lanes, causing all lanes to be blocked for at least an hour.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other local responders were dispatched to the scene to help those in need and transported at least one victim to a local medical center for further treatment.
Police were on the scene near exits 290 and 293, working to clear the area and conduct the on-scene portion of their investigation.
No further details have been released but the investigation continues at this time.
