Chickamauga, GA (March 29, 2023) – A domestic violence-related incident led to a pedestrian accident in Chickamauga on the night of Tuesday, March 28.

According to Walker County officials, the accident happened at 8:56 p.m. at 7100 North Marble Top Road. Police received a call about a domestic violence incident in the area. When they arrived at the scene, they discovered that an individual was run over by a vehicle that was involved in the incident.

Paramedics, fire crews, and several other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene to assist. The pedestrian, who has not yet been formally identified, was seriously injured in the accident. They were taken to a local hospital for treatment, though their current condition is not known.

The area was blocked off for an extended period of time following the accident. There were significant delays until the scene was cleared.

It is not known if arrests took place at the time of the incident.
