Decatur, GA (December 2, 2019) – This morning around 4 a.m., Atlanta Police responded to the scene of a car crash on Ralph David Abernathy Freeway in Decatur.
The accident, according to police, took place in the westbound lanes of the roadway near the area of Candler Road, exit 65. Several lanes of traffic were blocked, which led to extensive delays all through the morning.
Police did not comment on the circumstances leading up to the collision but multiple vehicles were seen with severe damages in the area.
Paramedics and other emergency responders assisted at the scene of the accident. However, the extent of injuries in the involved parties is not yet known.
Police continue to investigate the circumstances of the accident.
