Decatur, GA – Several Injured in Three-Vehicle Crash in WB Lanes of I-20
Decatur, GA (February 13, 2023) – Several people were hurt in a three-vehicle crash that took place in Decatur on the afternoon of Monday, February 13.
According to Atlanta Police, the accident happened around 1 p.m. in the westbound lanes of I-20 around the area of Linkwood Road. Police confirmed that three vehicles were involved in a collision in the westbound lanes due to reasons that are not fully known. The involved vehicles were extensively damaged as a result of the crash.
Several responders, including Atlanta fire crews and paramedics, were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. A bystander was found performing CPR on an individual. An ambulance was immediately called to the scene. A total of three individuals were rushed to the hospital, one of which had critical injuries. One person also sustained minor injuries but was not hospitalized.
Two lanes of traffic were completely blocked on the highway for several hours. This led to extensive delays until the scene was cleared.
