Albany, GA (May 1, 2020) – Around 3:30 p.m. on Thursday afternoon, April 30, a fatal motorcycle crash took place at an intersection in Albany.
According to authorities, the collision occurred at the intersection of Nottingham Way and North Westover Boulevard.
A Nissan Sentra was heading south on Nottingham when the driver came through the intersection and failed to yield to the motorcycle also headed through.
The motorcycle, being driven by a 34-year-old man, struck the back panel of the Sentra. The motorcyclist sustained serious injuries and was rushed to an emergency center, where he tragically succumbed to his injuries.
The driver of the Nissan was not injured and remained at the scene.
Police continue their investigation into the collision.
