Athens, GA (January 20, 2021) – Around 1:16 p.m., a car accident with injuries occurred on a major roadway in Athens.
According to the University of Georgia Police Department, the accident happened on Carlton Street when two or more vehicles collided with each other due to unknown reasons. Few details have been released but the accident led to extensive damages.
Paramedics and numerous other responders were dispatched to the scene of the accident. Only minor injuries were reported but the victims received treatment. Their conditions are not known at this time.
The roadway was blocked in the area for an extended period of time.
No further details have been released but the investigation continues.
