Atlanta, GA (August 24, 2020) – Around 8:30 a.m. this morning, a car accident with injuries took place on a major highway in Atlanta.
Atlanta Police confirmed that the crash happened in the northbound lanes of I-75 around the area of Northside Drive when two vehicles collided with one another. It is believed that one of the vehicles struck the other in the rear end, based on photographs of the vehicles at the scene. Both vehicles sustained immense damages as a result of the collision.
Emergency responders, including fire crews and paramedics, were present at the scene of the accident. Paramedics assisted those with injuries, though the extent of the injuries is not entirely known at this time. It is believed that one or more victims were transported to the hospital for treatment.
The roadway was closed down in the area until the police were able to completely clear the scene.
No further details have been released but the investigation is currently ongoing.
