Atlanta, GA (October 4, 2020) – Around 1:42 p.m. this afternoon, October 4, a multi-vehicle accident took place on a highway in Atlanta.
Atlanta officials confirmed that the accident took place in the northbound lanes of I-85 around the area of Cleveland Avenue. It is not yet known why the vehicles collided with one another but it is believed that one lost control, setting off a chain-reaction crash. The vehicles involved were left with severe damages.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders assisted those in need at the scene of the accident. The injured victims were transported to local hospitals for treatment of their injuries.
The roadway was blocked in numerous lanes for a period of time, which led to extensive delays.
