Carroll County, GA (May 21, 2019) – Though police have released few details thus far, they have confirmed that a 14-year-old boy was killed in a fatal crash near his home this week. The accident took place this past Saturday. At the time, police say that the decedent’s 16-year-old sister was driving the vehicle. She told police that a green pickup truck suddenly drove into her lane and she was forced to swerve, which caused their vehicle to go off the side of the road and strike an embankment.
The 16-year-old was transported to the hospital with minor injuries, while the 14-year-old passed away at the scene.
Police did not confirm the road on which the accident took place. Their investigation is ongoing at this time.
