Decatur, GA (May 22, 2020) – Around 1 p.m. this afternoon, the DeKalb County Police Department was dispatched to the scene of a car accident in Decatur.
According to authorities, the collision took place in the eastbound lanes of Candler Road around the area of I-20.
Due to the severity of the accident, numerous EMS vehicles were dispatched to the scene of the accident, where they assisted numerous victims with injuries. It is believed that the parties were hospitalized due to their injuries.
Multiple lanes of traffic were blocked for some time. Police urged those traveling through to use Columbia Drive as an alternate route.
The investigation into the accident is ongoing at this time.
