Griffin, GA (August 3, 2020) – On Saturday night, August 1, five people were injured in a two-vehicle collision at an intersection in Griffin.
According to the Georgia State Patrol, a 38-year-old woman was driving north on GA-3 near the intersection with Laprade Road. Her vehicle suddenly collided with a vehicle driving next to her for reasons that are not yet known.
The vehicle that the woman struck was a Dodge Charger driven by a 25-year-old man who was traveling in the same direction. The two vehicles came to a stop, sustaining severe damages.
There were two passengers in the first car and a passenger in the Charger as well. All five people were injured and taken to the Spalding Medical Center for treatment. They are all expected to be okay.
Police did not say if charges will be filed. Their investigation into the accident remains ongoing at this time.
