Griffin, GA (November 20, 2020) – Around 7:38 p.m. on Thursday night, November 19, a truck accident took place at an intersection in Griffin.
Few details have been released but police have confirmed that a white pickup truck and a dump truck collided with each other at the intersection of Williamson Road and Oak Road. The accident led to extensive damages to the vehicles involved.
Spalding Sheriff’s Department officials, Fire Department crews, and Spalding Regional EMS responded to the accident. One person, who has not yet been identified, was taken to the hospital for treatment of their injuries. The extent of their injuries is not entirely known.
Due to the severity of the crash, the intersection was blocked in the area for approximately 30 minutes. Police quickly worked to clear the scene and debris around the area.
No further details have been released but the investigation into the collision is currently ongoing.
