Kennesaw, GA – Car Accident on I-575 Leads to Serious Injuries

Kennesaw, GA (August 1, 2020) – Around 12:36 p.m. this afternoon, authorities were present at the scene of a serious car accident in Kennesaw.

Cobb County authorities confirmed that the accident took place in the southbound lanes of I-575 around the area of Chastain Road. The accident involved at least two vehicles that collided for reasons that are not entirely known. A wrecker was at the scene to remove damaged vehicles due to the extensive harm caused to both vehicles.

Paramedics and numerous other emergency responders were immediately dispatched to assist at the scene of the accident. EMS crews helped those with injuries, though it is not known how many were treated at the scene or transported to the hospital.

The crash occurred in the left lane of traffic, which blocked the roadway in numerous lanes until police cleared the scene. Police urged those traveling through the area to use Canton Road as an alternate route.
