Mableton, GA (June 29, 2020) – Around 4:10 a.m. on June 27, a fatal crash took place at the intersection of Glore Road and Ethel Springs Trail.
Investigators confirmed that the accident took place when an Infiniti was traveling west on Glore Road when the driver left the roadway. The vehicle struck two trees near the intersection with Ethel Springs Road, which is when it drove back onto the roadway and overturned.
Two adult male passengers were immediately ejected from the vehicle. One of the male passengers was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident. The other male was seriously injured and taken to WellStar Kennestone Hospital.
The driver of the vehicle was not seriously injured but he immediately fled the scene. Investigators believe that the driver may have been intoxicated and speeding at the time. He has not yet been found.
Police continue their investigation into the accident.
