Norcross, GA – Multi-Vehicle Crash on I-85 Near Beaver Ruin Rd

Norcross, GA (January 18, 2021) – At 4:38 p.m. on Monday afternoon, January 18, a multi-vehicle crash took place on a highway in Norcross.

According to Gwinnett County officials, the accident happened in the southbound lanes of I-85 around the area of Beaver Ruin Road. Few details have been released but police confirmed that two or more vehicles lost control in the area, which led to a chain-reaction crash with extensive damages.

Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene of the collision to assist those with injuries. One or more victims were hospitalized, though their conditions are not yet known.

Two center lanes of traffic were blocked in the area for some time. This led to extensive delays. Police urged those in the area to use Buford Highway as an alternate route.
