Stockbridge, GA – Accident Involving Car Hauler with Injuries on I-675

Stockbridge, GA (September 17, 2020) – Around 8:53 a.m. on Thursday morning, September 17, an accident involving a car hauler took place on a Stockbridge highway.

Police have not yet confirmed the circumstances leading up to the accident but believe that a car hauler truck and one passenger vehicle collided in the northbound lanes of I-675. The crash took place near the area of SR-138 and led to extensive damages. Photographs taken at the scene showed the car hauler off the side of the road and a black sedan with severe front-end damage.

Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were immediately dispatched to assist at the scene of the accident. The identities of those involved are not yet known but it is believed that one or more people were taken to the hospital for treatment of their injuries as a result of the accident.

The accident led to a variety of closures in the area, which contributed to delays out of Stockbridge for several hours.

Police continue their investigation into the circumstances of the collision.
