Trenton, GA (March 18, 2019) – On Tuesday, three people lost their lives in a car accident that took place near Sand Mountain in Dade County, according to authorities.
The accident took place around 3:00 p.m. on Highway 301, near Brown’s Tire Pros. Police responded and said that two vehicles collided head-on with one another. They did not confirm how the two vehicles collided and who is at fault.
One of the vehicles was struck with such force that it continues onward another 200 yards past the crash scene.
Two passed away at the scene of the crash, while a third tragically passed away while they were being transported to the hospital.
One of the vehicles, a red sedan, could be seen at the scene of the crash and was badly damaged in a ditch.
Police continue to investigate the circumstances of the accident at this time.
